League of Women Voters of Massachusetts
The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts (LWVMA) is a non-partisan, grass roots, political organization in existence since 1920. It encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences policy through education and advocacy. While we do not support or oppose political candidates or parties, we do advocate for public policies consistent with positions, which are arrived at by study and consensus. LWVMA and its local chapters work to register voters, and provide voters with election information through voter guides as well as candidate forums and debates.
