The 2019 Youth Symposium on Juvenile Justice is the 3rd annual one-day conference targeting 100 local High school students to learn what happens inside the Juvenile Justice system and cover current issues such as the school to prison pipeline, youthful offender indictments and the impact of a juvenile delinquency charge. The symposium includes a live Mock Trial demonstration regarding a juvenile case and allows student attendees to participate as jurors to decide the final verdict. Student attendees will have the opportunity to engage with real judges, lawyers, political officials, law enforcement officials, and community partners. It also includes a resource fair to offer students information regarding summer jobs, legal internships and support services available in the Boston community. Breakfast and Lunch is provided. The sponsored program is Free to all students & attendees. Registration is required.
